Serge Aurier has taken to Instagram to send a message to Tottenham Hotspur fans after he failed to make the squad to face Manchester City this evening.
The right-back missed Wednesday’s FA Cup defeat at Everton with a foot injury and has revealed ahead of the clash at the Etihad that he tried his best to be part of the side.
Matt Doherty started the match at Everton with Jose Mourinho deciding to give Japhet Tanganga a rare start on the right side of defence against the Premier League leaders.
Aurier sent a message of support to his team-mates whilst telling the North London faithful that he would see them soon.
The confusing part of Aurier’s post is the fact that he states ‘tested them negative’ which isn’t abundantly clear what he is referring to on his Instagram story.
