It would be fair to say that Tottenham Hotspur were considered massive underdogs to progress past big spending Manchester City in their Champions League quarter final tie.
However, against all the odds Mauricio Pochettino’s side have booked their place in the semi final of the competition after a narrow away goals victory.
Fernando Llorente’s 73rd minute goal proved to be crucial and it was reviewed by VAR with Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir comfirming that the goal should stand after the ball went into the back of the leg off the Spaniard’s leg.
However, Sky Sports News couldn’t resist having a dig at Spurs on their news feed that appears on the bottom of their TV channel by claiming that the ball had struck the forward’s arm.
Maybe they are bitter that Pep’s golden boys are no longer on for the quadruple.
