Few would have been surprised to see Erik Lamela miss out on Tottenham’s last match through a groin problem with his team mates booking their place in the fifth round of the FA Cup (Standard), however, some may be shocked to see such an early potential return.
Lamela has been famed for his long and frequent injury spells since joining Spurs from Roma, but his latest problem appears to be a small one.
The Argentine took to Instagram today to post a photo of him in a Spurs shirt, along with the ‘soon’ emoji, seeming to imply a return to the pitch in the near future.
Tottenham are back in action against Aston Villa on Sunday afternoon in the Premier League where they will be looking to continue their push to break into the top four.
