Photo: Spurs legend hits back at Snoop Dogg in social media war of words

Tottenham Hotspur legend Paul Gascoigne has hit back at Snoop Dogg over a post which appeared on Instagram.

The hip hop icon took to the social media network to share a photo to warn his followers against alcohol abuse which contained two photos of the former midfielder.

The pictures showed Gascoigne aged 20 when he was playing for Newcastle United and another photo of him at age 47.

He also shared a photo of himself at similar ages under the words of ‘marijuana abuse’ to suggest that the drug has had less of an impact on himself compared to alcohol.

Gascoigne retaliated on Twitter by posting a photo of a dog which had been edited to resemble the American.

The ex-England international has a well publicised history of battling alcohol addiction and received a fantastic reception earlier this year when he played for the first time at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in a legends match against Inter Milan.
