Photo: Spurs legend spotted during club’s training session this morning

Tottenham Hotspur were back on the training field this morning ahead of their Champions League round of 16 second leg against RB Leipzig.

While Jose Mourinho and his coaching staff put their players through a series of drills, there was one particular person who caught the eye.

Mourinho and his backroom staff typically wear purple-colored clothing while the players train in grey. Among the purple coats was the legendary former Spurs player, Ledley King.

It was an unfamiliar sight to see the 39-year-old present during the club’s training session.

King retired from professional football in 2012 at the age of 31 having struggled with knee issues for a number of years which hampered his ability to train on a regular basis (BBC).

In recent times, the former central defender has been working for the club in an ambassadorial role.

Spurs could certainly do with the experience and advice of King to help shore up the defensive issues which the club have suffered with all season.
