Photo: Spurs player not included against Leipzig shows fans what he did after the match

Ryan Sessegnon found himself left out of Jose Mourinho’s squad for last night’s Champions League clash against RB Leipzig.

He was seen arriving at the ground with the rest of the Spurs players, but did not make it onto the bench with Jose Mourinho instead deciding to include academy graduate Oliver Skipp.

After a slow start to his Spurs career partly down to his hamstring problems earlier in the season, Sessegnon has started to make more of an impact in recent weeks.

The youngster has been used as left-back, a left wing-back and as a wide player and has shown glimpses of real quality in the opportunities he has so far.

Instead of sulking at being overlooked by the Portuguese head coach, it turns out that Sessegnon actually took the time to work on his fitness after the match.

The teenager took to his Instagram story on Wednesday night to post an image of himself hard at work in the gym following the match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Spurs Web Opinion

While Sessegnon has certainly shown glimpses of his quality, it is clear that his talent is still quite raw and he needs to improve considerably if he is to contest for a regular starting spot in the team. However, I have been extremely impressed by the youngster’s attitude so far and I am confident Jose will improve him with time.
