Tottenham Hotspur were boosted by the return of one of their first-team regulars to training yesterday.

Dele Alli was spotted being put through his paces with the rest of the Spurs squad during the session at Hotspur Way.

The England international suffered a hamstring injury earlier this month during a training session prior to the win against Everton and missed the subsequent matches against Bournemouth, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Leicester City; a run a matches which have seen the North Londoners avoid defeat since he picked up the problem (The Sun).

Former boss Mauricio Pochettino had previously spoken last summer of his concerns about the midfielder’s track record having suffered four injuries to his left hamstring in the past two years (Guardian).

It remains to be seen whether the 24-year-old will be fit enough to take his place in the Spurs squad for Sunday’s final Premier League game of the season against Crystal Palace which could see the club secure qualification for next season’s Europa League.
