Steven Bergwijn has not enjoyed the best of starts to the new season, finding himself struggling for fitness and game time at Tottenham.

The winger showed a lot of promise after arriving at the club in January as he exploded onto the scene with a brilliant volley against Manchester City.

Although he has shown glimpses of his ability this campaign, he has struggled to nail down a starting place in the side after reinforcements were signed over the summer.

He was released from the Netherlands camp earlier this week as he was still said to be carrying a groin injury (De Telegraaf via Sport Witness).

The winger will be hoping to recover fully over the next couple of weeks at Hotspur Way and make an impact when the season resumes next weekend.

Until then, it looks as though the former PSV man is enjoying some downtime as he posted a picture on Instagram with his mural in Edmonton, North London.

The mural features Bergwijn’s iconic celebration, which Spurs fans will be hoping to see more often this season.
