Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Eric Dier was spotted sitting within the Royal Box at Wimbledon yesterday.
The 25-year-old took his place at Centre Court among other sporting talent including David Haye, Sir Chris Hoy, Carl Froch, Billy Jean King, Jimmy Anderson, Sir Mo Farah and England boss Gareth Southgate.
Dier caught the attention with his new skinhead look ahead of the new football season.
The England international will be looking to put the disappointment of the last campaign behind him which saw him have to have his appendix removed, a hip problem and also tonsillitis; a combination which saw him hardly feature in a four-month period.
The arrival of Tanguy Nombele as the club’s record transfer is going to put extra pressure on Dier to try and hold down a place in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven.
Harry Winks and Moussa Sissoko also impressive as a pair in the heart of the Spurs midfield last season which further makes Dier’s task even more difficult.
