With the ongoing coronavirus pandemic looking a long way from over, it looks as if we may have to get used to staying indoors for the foreseeable future in the UK.

This is why government officials continue to urge us to stay at home, adhere to social distancing, and to only travel for essential reasons in order to fight the CVOID-19 spread.

Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has become the latest footballer to take to social media to ask fans to stay indoors.

The Spurs star, who has had a disappointing first season at the club since his big-money transfer from Lyon last summer, posted a picture of himself wearing a questionable tracksuit on Instagram.

The 22-year-old wrote a caption in French that translates roughly to ‘Stay at home and always with a smile’ and used the hashtag #StayAtHome.

While there is no doubt that footballers are fortunate to live in the kinds of mansions they do, it must be quite difficult for them to adjust to this new routine. Hopefully, we manage to flatten the curve and the lockdown can be lifted sooner than projected.
