It was a case of one Tottenham Hotspur academy player supporting a former graduate last night at the Emirates Stadium.

J’Neil Bennett was in the stand to watch Marcus Edwards in action for Vitoria against Arsenal in the UEFA Europa League.

Edwards, who left Tottenham during the summer transfer window to joIn the Portuguese side opened the scoring in the eighth minute with a neat finish from inside the penalty area.

Unfortunately for Edwards he was on the losing side when substitute Nicolas Pepe scored two goals in the last ten minutes to secure a 3-2 win.

Despite the result, it was great to see a current Spurs player throwing his support behind Edwards who only managed a single senior appearance under Mauricio Pochettino.

Bennett, who scored the opening goal for the Tottenham Under-19 side in their 9-2 demolition of their Red star Belgrade counterparts on Tuesday afternoon took to his Instagram story to share his backing of the 20-year-old at Arsenal.
