Photos: Nike reveal new Spurs-inspired NFL jersey design

Nike have revealed a brand new Tottenham Hotspur themed NFL jersey ahead of the first American Football match to take place in North London this weekend.

The Chicago Bears face the Oakland Raiders in the 62,062 capacity seater venue which was created with bespoke NFL facilities.

Both sides will use the purpose built NFL locker rooms and will enter the field of play in a different area of the stadium to what the Spurs players use.

The new jersey has been modelled by Cleveland Brown’s star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr and is of a similar design to Tottenham’s current away purple kit.

There is also a nod to Tottenham’s heritage with the number 82 being used, a reference to the club’s formation in 1882 along with ‘Spurs’ featured above the number on the reverse.

The NFL is set to be a regular fixture in Tottenham after the club agreed on a 10-year deal with the National Football League to host at least two matches every season at their new stadium (Guardian).
