‘Picture of calm’ – Tottenham player’s reputation continues to grow out on loan

It seems like Joe Rodon’s stock is growing with each passing game that he plays for Leeds United, with the on-loan Tottenham man once again receiving plenty of plaudits for his display against Swansea City on Wednesday.

Rodon has hardly put a foot wrong since he walked through the door at Elland Road last summer, with the Welshman arguably being the best centre-back on show in the Championship this season.

His performances have not gone unnoticed in the top flight, with Football Insider reporting a couple of days ago that several Premier League sides have already reached out to Tottenham to ask about the defender’s availability.

The report explained that Spurs value the player between £10m and £15m and that while Leeds are keen on securing him permanently, their chances of doing so hinge on bouncing straight back up to the Premier League.

Joe Rodon continues to impress for Leeds United

Daniel Farke’s men did their promotion chances plenty of good on Wednesday, thrashing Swansea 4-0 at the Liberty Stadium to move up to second place.

Rodon was one of the stars of the show against his former side, with Yorkshire Evening Post giving the centre-back a rating of eight of 10 for his display.

They wrote about the 26-year-old: “A picture of calm. Tried to keep things calm and tidy in possession. Was always there when needed.”

Tottenham will be delighted to see how well Rodon is doing, with his price tag seemingly increasing by the day. It now looks certain that there will be a feeding frenzy for his signature when the transfer window opens in the summer.
