Steven Pienaar has confirmed he will be joining Tottenham Hotspur from Everton.
It appears Spurs have beaten off competition from Chelsea, who had also agreed a deal with Everton for the South African playmaker.
But Pienaar claimed on his official Twitter account; “To end speculation, I am going to Spurs.
“I’ve had brilliant years at Everton and it will always be a special place in my heart.”
Neither club has confirmed the deal, but Pienaar has claimed a done deal and has also stated he will wear the number 40 shirt at White Hart Lane.
