Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg may have thrown yet another social media hint on his future

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has now sent his third hint in a matter weeks on social media that he may want to join Tottenham by ‘liking’ a tweet from Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano about Spurs’ rumoured interest in him.

Reports now indicate that Tottenham are edging closer to completing a deal for the Denmark international, who they have been extensively linked with (Corriere dello Sport via Sport Witness).

It is safe to say that Hojbjerg has done little to hide the fact that he wants to join the North Londoners this summer.

The Southampton star ‘liked’ a tweet two months ago that questioned if he would be the player to complete the Spurs midfield puzzle (Football.London).

A little over a week ago, the 24-year-old ‘liked’ SPORT1 journalist Florian Plettenberg’s tweet in which he claimed that Tottenham was Hojbjerg’s preferred destination.

The midfielder has now ‘liked’ Romano’s tweet in which he claimed Spurs are in talks with Southampton for his signature.

Hojbjerg could not make his intention to come to Tottenham any clearer. Southampton’s bargaining position is weak as he just has a year to run on his contract. In all likelihood, Daniel Levy will try to squeeze every penny possible from the deal and it will be a while before an agreement is reached.
