Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg produced another brilliant performance as he helped Tottenham emerge 2-0 victors over Arsenal in what was his first taste of the North London derby.
The midfielder protected the Spurs back four brilliantly, constantly putting out fires and denying Arsenal’s midfielders and forwards any space in the final third.
Hojbjerg, who has quickly emerged as one of Tottenham’s most important players, is the only member of Jose Mourinho’s squad to have played every minute of the club’s Premier League campaign so far.
The Tottenham boss showered praise on the Dane after the 2-0 win, hailing his technical ability as well as his ability to read the game (Football.London).
The former Southampton man, who was judged to be the Man of the Match, took to social media after the win to express his delight at getting the better of Mikel Arteta’s man.
According to Sky Sports, Hojbjerg made 5 clearances, 3 interceptions, won 8 duals and regained possession eight times in the 90 minutes against the Gunners.
