Arsenal fan Piers Morgan has taken to Twitter to share his fears of Tottenham Hotspur winning the Champions League tomorrow evening.
The shamed former editor of The Mirror who has spoken on many times about his hatred of his North London rivals has revealed that he is already nervous about the prospect of Mauricio Pochettino’s side beating Liverpool.
Both sides will take part in an all-English final at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium in Madrid for the chance to be crowned champions of Europe.
Arsenal suffered a 4-1 hammering by Chelsea in the Europa League final on Wednesday evening which condemned the Gunners to another season of Thursday night football, while Spurs are already guaranteed another campaign of Champions League football.
Their problems could be magnified by Spurs not only winning the trophy, but also having the bragging rights of being the first side in North London to lift the prestigious trophy.
Here’s what Morgan had to say on Twitter.
I can’t mentally process the full unexpurgated horror of Spurs possibly winning the Champions League. It is gnawing away at my soul like a psychological version of a flesh-eating bug.
