PL club fearful of losing reported Spurs target in the summer

If reports are to be believed, Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser has emerged as a target for Spurs, Arsenal, and Chelsea (Daily Mail).

The Scotsman is having the best season of his career so far, having already notched up 7 goals and 14 assists, the second highest number in Europe’s top 5 leagues behind Chelsea Eden Hazard with 15.

The 25-year-old was once again at the top of his game against Tottenham on Saturday, eventually providing the cross for Nathan Ake’s late winner.

A report in The Daily Mail claims that Bournemouth are fearful of losing Fraser in the summer as the former Aberdeen man is considering his options.

The diminutive wide-man just has one more year left in his contract with the Cherries, but Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe will want to keep his high-performing side together beyond this summer.

It remains to be seen whether a bid comes in for the winger, and whether the lure of Champions League football will be enough to tempt him away from Bournemouth.

Spurs Web Opinion

Given the number of wide players that have been linked with Tottenham over the past few weeks, it does look like Pochettino will revert to a 4-3-3 system next year. The club can certainly do much worse than Ryan Fraser, as the technically gifted midfielder is proven in the Premier League and is unlikely to attract an astronomical fee considering his current contractual situation. Perhaps a player to strengthen the bench and push the starting XI, rather than a regular starter.
