PLAYER RATINGS: Everton 0-3 Spurs

Spurs Player Ratings

Hugo Lloris – 6 – Merely a spectator for the majority of the match, one nervy moment where he set up an Everton player for a free shot at goal.

Kieran Trippier – 7 – Delivered a great ball into the box which Sissoko should have headed home.

Jan Vertonghen – 7 – Another solid performance from Vertonghen, kept Rooney in his pocket.

Davinson Sanchez – 7 – Slotted in comfortably alongside the Belgian duo. No major tests to deal with, a comfortable full Premier League debut for the Colombian.

Toby Alderweireld – 7 – Received an early booking, but apart from that another solid performance.

Ben Davies – 9 – One of his best games in a Tottenham shirt. Fantastic going forward, superb delivery into the box – notably for Kane’s second. Danny Rose won’t have to Google him this evening.

Eric Dier – 6 – Broke up the Everton play well in the middle of the park.

Moussa Sissoko – 6 – Had a great chance to open the scoring in the first half and squandered a headed chance in the second. In one movement he can do from world-class to Sunday league. Yet still one of his better displays in a Spurs shirt.

Christian Eriksen – 7 – Reacted well to score our second goal, should have had two.

Dele Alli – 7 – Kept his nose clean and didn’t get into any confrontational situations. Linked up well with Kane.

Harry Kane – 8 – You just knew he would be in the score-sheet in September. A two-goal display from one of our own.

Subs

Mousa Dembele – 6 – Came on for Eriksen in the 71st minute.

Harry Winks – 6 – Came on for an injured Sissoko in the 77th minute.

Son – 6- Came in for Kane in the 85th minute.

  1. I know a lot of fans don’t like him but credit where it’s due today for Sissoko, should have done better in some situations but that comes with confidence. I think he had a gr8 games and think he’s much better suited in the box to box role.

  2. apologies, but you appear to be talking out of your rectum.

Eriksen was immense today. easily an 8 or 9. so also was Dier, a 7 or 8 would be acceptable. no-one who watched the game could possibly have given him a 6

  3. Agree with drew! I had to scroll back up to Eriksen rating! Fort i was seeing things! At least an 8! All of them deserve at least a 7 they were brilliant COYS

  4. Sissoko gets same as Dier and almost as much as Ericksson for being average, but better than his usual self. Dier basically stopped the Everton team going past the half way line, and Erickson carved them apart all game. Sissoko basically was ok (if I am honest, missed some huge sitters.)
