Player ratings from the 3-1 away win against West Ham in the Carabao Cup

Tottenham booked their place in the quarter finals of the League Cup tonight in style with a comfortable 3-1 away win against West Ham.

That made it two wins at the Hammers stomping ground in the space of two weeks, booking a tie against Arsenal in the quarters.

Here’s how we rated the players:

Paulo Gazzaniga – 8

Made some smart stops this evening, and always looked comfortable between the sticks. Looks a real prospect for the future.

Serge Aurier – 7

Didn’t do much wrong tonight, and offered something going forward. A very established performance considering he was playing out of position.

Davinson Sanchez – 8

His usual brick wall performance at the Olympic stadium. Used his strength and pace to keep the Hammers front line at bay.

Juan Foyth – 9

My man of the match this evening. He chipped in with countless last ditch challenges when Spurs were up against it and carried the ball out of defence with ease. Needs to be given more game time.

Kyle Walker-Peters – 4

Really poor evening from KWP, which is a shame as he has waited a long time for a chance. Was beaten for pace by Antonio time and time again, was at fault for the West Ham goal, and was shrugged off the ball too easily. I’m sure he’ll bounce back.

Harry Winks – 7

Another steady performance from Winks, really knocking on the door of a consistent starting place now.

Victor Wanyama – 7

Steady as well for Spurs tonight, starting to look like his old self with the crunching challenges. He even wore the captain’s armband for 15 minutes.

Dele Alli – 8

Set up both the first two goals and his all round link up play was impressive. Regaining his match sharpness extremely quickly following his return.

Christian Eriksen – 8

Much like Alli, Eriksen is quickly finding his form again and he ran the show from midfield tonight.

Heung Min Son – 8

His all round gameplay wasn’t his best, but Sonny stepped up with two goals when we needed him most. Staking a claim to play against Wolves or PSV this week.

Fernando Llorente – 7

Held the ball up well and finished his chance with the third goal. His all round play doesn’t offer a huge amount, but he did a job tonight.

Substitutes-

Georges Kevin N’Koudou – 6

Made a few positive runs after coming on.

Moussa Sissoko – 5

Did his job to come on and see the game out, becoming an important player for Poch now.

Oliver Skipp – N/A
