Player ratings from the 3-1 loss at home to Wolves

Tottenham’s fantastic run had to come to an end at some point, but losing 3-1 at home to newly-promoted Wolves is an unacceptable way for it to happen.

Spurs went 1-0 up at half time thanks to a superb Harry Kane strike, but conceded three in 15 minutes in a lacklustre second half performance.

Here are the player ratings from the defeat:

Hugo Lloris – 5

Didn’t have much to do in the first half. In the second half Hugo let in three goals, at least one of which he would have been disappointed with. Four shots on target for Wolves, and three goals.

Kieran Trippier – 6

Played well in the first half before dropping the pace slightly in the second half. Could have been better defensively towards the end of the game.

Davinson Sanchez – 5

After such a dominant display in the first 45 minutes, the defenders went to sleep in the second half, letting Wolves in twice after already conceding a corner.

Toby Alderweireld – 7

Really impressive today apart from 15 minutes of hell at the back.

Ben Davies – 5

Didn’t offer much going forward, conceded three at the back, need I say more?

Harry Winks – 7

Completely bossed the first half of the game. Started the second half okay, but seemed to lose his pace more and more as the game went on.

Moussa Sissoko – 5

Not at his marauding best today, and left too many gaps in the second half, allowing Wolves to come at Spurs again and again.

Christian Eriksen – 6

Eriksen went from the puppet master in the first half to being unable to find a pass in the second. A classic example of taking your foot off the gas.

Dele Alli – 5

Wasn’t involved too much today. First game back from injury, decent minutes under his belt before coming off with half an hour to go.

Heung Min Son – 6

Didn’t quite happen for Sonny today, but he always looks a threat on the attack.

Harry Kane – 7

A captain’s performance in smashing home the opening goal and being a strong presence up front and in the ref’s ear. Passing was a little off, and didn’t hold the ball as well as he could have in the second half.

Substitutes:

Lucas Moura – 4

Didn’t make any impact.
