PLAYER RATINGS: Leicester City 1-1 Tottenham Hotspur

Hugo Lloris– He was forced into action quite a number of times and he came on top on most of them. He was lucky against Wes Morgan’s header but he was commanding all around. He couldn’t stop Mahrez’s curler late on.

Kyle Walker – He had an average game as he was decent on the defensive end but did not produce much in the attacking areas. Tripper should be tried in the next matches in my opinion.

Toby Alderweireld – He was decent on the ball and did well to push up when Spurs were in possession but looked too vulnerable at the back. He and Vertonghen were lucky that Leicester scored only one goal.

Jan Vertonghen – A terrible defensive performance by his standards. His tackle on Mahrez was a clear penalty that Martin Atkinson missed and he was at fault for the Algerian’s equalizer when he gave him way too much space.

Ben Davies – A below average game for the left-back. He couldn’t really get a hold of Mahrez and he did not provide much support in the attacking third.

Eric Dier – He struggled in the middle of the park to contain Leicester’s attacks. He was decent again but his value is questionable since provides close to nothing in the attacking department.

Ryan Mason – He was energetic and the only player in the first half to create something but he could not help his team get a goal. He slowed down in the second half and played an average game.

Erik Lamela– Another bad game for the Argentinean as he couldn’t fill Eriksen’s shoes in terms or creativity. He was easily kept under control by Leicester’s defenders and his turnovers put his defence under pressure at times.

Moussa Dembele – He was more attacking minded today but couldn’t provide a goal out of his two shots outside the box. His dribbling left him at times and he ran into defenders and gave the ball away.

Nacer Chadli – The Belgian was incredibly wasteful in the attacking third as he was too selfish and did not look around to find his teammates. He was generous in the 81st minute though as he provided the assist for Alli.

Harry Kane – He tried everything he can to get on the score sheet but with the lack of service, he couldn’t get his first goal of the season. Yet he still played a role in the goal as he pulled Wes Morgan away from the ball to clear the space for Alli.

Subs

Dele Alli – Came on for Lamela and played really well. He scored the goal for Tottenham and he almost got a second one late on. He looks too good to warm the benches, especially for this Tottenham team.

Tom Carroll – He came on for Dembele and failed to impress with his passing and set piece delivery.

Nabil Bentaleb – A really late introduction for the Algerian.
