Player Ratings: Tottenham 0-2 Wolves – Lloris gets a 3

Tottenham Hotspur recorded their third Premier League defeat on the bounce this afternoon after they fell to a 2-0 Wolves defeat at home.

Let’s take a look at how the individual players got on:

Hugo Lloris – 3 – Palmed the ball out twice in the opening minutes to give Wolves an easy goal, then put Davies under pressure with a bad pass that led to the second.

Matt Doherty – 4 – Awful on the ball and offered very little in defence or attack, especially when Spurs switched to a back four.

Davinson Sanchez – 4 – All over the place again today. It seems for every great game he has, he also drops a shocker, which is not up to the standards Spurs need.

Cristian Romero – 6 – The only defender who could make a tackle. A few bad passes here and there, but good enough for an okay rating.

Ben Davies – 3 – Should have put his foot through the ball instead of trying to play out in the second goal. Beyond that, he was shocking on the ball.

Ryan Sessegnon – N/A – Not fair to give him a rating. Didn’t offer much at the start of the game but I don’t think he deserved to be the one hooked on 25 mins.

Harry Winks – 4 – For every sideways pass completed, there was a forward one given away. Completely overwhelmed by Wolves.

Rodrigo Bentancur – 6 – Looked decent for the most part. Gave the ball away a few times but he was at least trying to tackle and progress the ball.

Lucas Moura – 4 – Seemed to lack his usual energy, press and drive today. Was a passenger for the most part and gave it away a lot when he did get the ball.

Heung-min Son – 5 – Got into some great positions but seemed to lack all confidence to go past people and shoot. Too passive and it cost Spurs chances to score.

Harry Kane – 6 – A few really nice runs through the Wolves defence and created some good openings. If Spurs were going to score, he was the most likely to make it happen.

Substitutes:

Dejan Kulusevski – 6 – Worked really hard out there, which was more than most. Came close to scoring in the second half. Still looks a bit off the pace though.

Steven Bergwijn – 5 – Came on and put in a lot of effort but the game was already lost.

Emerson Royal – N/A
