PLAYER RATINGS: Tottenham 2-0 Hull City

Hugo Lloris – He was rarely tested but had chances to show his sweeping ability. He was commanding in his box and his deliveries were decent.

Eric Dier – He delivered some dangerous crosses and he was alright at the back but it was obvious that he was not fully comfortable at right-back.

Danny Rose – He was active all game long with tackles, interceptions and movement. He provided width and options for his team and he capped off a good game with a great goal.

Federico Fazio – He was yet again unconvincing and nervous at the back. He was easily beaten by Hull’s attackers and his clearances never found the right man.

Jan Vertonghen – He was decent enough to hold the opposition strikers but he did not push forward as much as he likes to and he was casual at times.

Nabil Bentaleb– He was really sloppy at the start and he wasn’t his usual self but his energy came back in the second half.

Christian Eriksen – The Dane is definitely burnt out from a long season as his performance today was nowhere near his quality. He was rightly subbed off in the 58th minute.

Ryan Mason – He did not perform at his best as he hasn’t been for a while now but his assist to Rose showed his potential yet again.

Nacer Chadli – He had another “fool’s gold” game as he was virtually anonymous until he scored a well-taken goal in the second half. He did not improve after the goal either.

Erik Lamela – He is definitely finding his rhythm as he added creativity to his hard work and performed admirably. He provided a superb assist to Chadli for the opener and never shied away from the ball. Even though everything did not work for him, he never gave up.

Harry Kane – He, again, did not get the service he deserves and he was frustrated all game long. He ran all around the pitch to even get a touch on the ball at times and he was ineffective as a result.

Subs

Mousa Dembele – He came on to protect the lead and bring control to the midfield.

Benjamin Stambouli – He helped his team keep a clean sheet as he protected his back four well.

Roberto Soldado – Made a cameo appearance.
