PLAYER RATINGS: Tottenham Hotspur 5-3 Chelsea

Hugo Lloris – He couldn’t have done anything for all three Chelsea goals and made a stunning save to keep out Azpilicueta at 4-2.

Kyle Walker – The right-back was sloppy at times but his pace is always appreciated and he seemed to form an understanding with the centre-back pairing.

Danny Rose – He was his usual self as he was at fault for the first Chelsea goal but he was bright on the attack. He capped off a decent attacking performance with a goal and an assist.

Federico Fazio – The Argentinean centre-back was really good against Costa tonight, he showed strength and desire to keep the striker out. But what on earth was he thinking when he gave the ball away in the midfield in the build-up of the second Chelsea goal.

Jan Vertonghen – The Belgian looked like his 2012 version as he commanded his area and made some brilliant interceptions and tackles. He could have done a bit better in all of Chelsea’s goals.

Nabil Bentaleb – The Algerian provided energy and calmness to the team. He was decent on the ball and instinctive when defending.

Christian Eriksen – The Dane showed his creativity and craft when he found the holes in the defence. He was brilliant in the build-up of the second goal.

Ryan Mason – He started lively and showed energy but was unlucky to leave the game early with a hamstring injury.

Andros Townsend – He took a brilliant penalty and was always a threat with his pace. He helped his right back much of the game and showed desire and intensity. However, he was really sloppy on the ball at times.

Nacer Chadli – The Belgian played the best game of his Spurs career and what a game it was. He was threat every time he touched the ball and he crafted two goals and scored one himself. Every Tottenham fan will be eager to see if he can keep this performance up.

Harry Kane – What a story, what a player, what a guy. This young Englishman continues to shock everyone and he has performed in one of the biggest games of the season. He completely destroyed the best centre-back partnership in the league. He frustrated Cahill so much the defender literally kicked him when he was down and it was shocking to see that he did not receive a red card for that.

Subs

Moussa Dembele – He came on the game early for Mason and showed real energy and craft in the midfield.

Paulinho – As soon as he came on, he attacked. He ran up and down the pitch and that was encouraging to see for the fans. His usual mistakes were there but he was good enough.

Ben Davies – He came on for Rose late and helped Spurs finish the game.
