PLAYER RATINGS: West Brom 0-3 Spurs

Hugo Lloris – The Frenchman showed his world class abilities in the rare times he was called upon. He made two acrobatic saves to keep out Morrison and Yacob and a second half save to stop Berahino.

Kyle Walker – His defending was again problematic as he left Fazio alone at times, but his attacking again proved to be vital as he earned the penalty for Spurs’ third goal.

Danny Rose – He was again the only player on the left side after Eriksen was selected on the wing, but he was terrific today as he showed ability on the ball, energy off the ball and composure at the back.

Federico Fazio – He returned to the starting line-up and showed his strength and skill when defending. However, he had couple of errors that could have been costly. It was still an encouraging performance.

Jan Vertonghen – The Belgian was again in great form as he defended Berahino really well bar the rare occasions when the striker got away.

Paulinho– He was the surprise pick today and he did not prove himself as a starter. He wasted decent opportunities for his team and did not show enough urgency on the ball. However, he never stopped running and made some really good tackles.

Christian Eriksen – He opened the scoring with a well taken free kick (though Foster should have done better), and had some decent passes in the midfield. It was evident that his performance levels drop significantly when he plays on the wing.

Ryan Mason – He had to play in a deeper role with Paulinho alongside him, however he showed his passing ability, and energy when defending.

Mousa Dembele – Another start at No.10 and another good outing. His run brought the free kick for the first goal, and his pass made the second goal.

Erik Lamela – He was positive on and off the ball as he tried to move the ball quickly and aggressively but his intentions did not bring any results. However, it was an encouraging performance nevertheless.

Harry Kane – After missing a bunch of chances against Sheffield United, the young striker returned to Premier League with 2 goals as he took his first goal brilliantly, giving Foster no chance. His penalty goal was tell taken and well placed. Tottenham finally found their 20 goal striker and he is far from done this season.

Subs

Nacer Chadli – He came on for Dembele and brought positive and direct play to the game.

Benjamin Stambouli – He came on for Mason and helped Spurs see off the game.

Roberto Soldado – Made a late entrance, replacing Kane and did not have any chance to affect the score.
