Malachi Fagan-Walcott has revealed that he has signed for Cardiff City, less than a week after parting ways with Tottenham.

Fagan-Walcott was thought of highly while coming through the age group ranks at Spurs and has represented England at Under-17s and Under-16s levels.

Over the past few years, the versatile defender made 49 appearances for Spurs’ Under-21s in Premier League 2, having previously featured 20 times in the Under-18 Premier League (Transfermarkt).

The centre-back’s only first-team appearance for the Lilywhites came back in 2020, aged just 18, during the club’s Champions League defeat away to RB Leipzig.

Last week, the youngster took to X to confirm that he had departed Spurs following eight years at the club, thanking the coaches at the club for helping him develop into the player he has.

Fagan Walcott’s development had stalled considerably over the last two years, partly down to his injury woes. This fresh start at Cardiff could help the centre-back get his career back on track as he is still very young.
