Danny Rose has revealed that Chelsea tried to sign him from Leeds United before he made the move to Tottenham Hotspur as a youngster.

Rose joined Tottenham as a teenager from Leeds back in 2007 but it took him many years to establish himself as a first-team regular at the North London club.
The left-back had a series of loan spells in the Championship before eventually coming of age during his spell with Sunderland in the Premier League during the 2012-13 season.
The defender went from strength to strength on returning to Spurs and over the next few years, he developed into one of the best players in his position across the Premier League, being a key part of Mauricio Pochettino’s revolution at White Hart Lane.
Rose was also capped 29 times for England but his time at Tottenham came to an unceremonious end as he famously fell out with Jose Mourinho.

Danny Rose could have signed for Chelsea as a youngster
The former Tottenham star has now revealed that he could have ended up at Stamford Bridge rather than N17.
When asked on The Spurs Show: “The move, you could’ve gone to Chelsea couldn’t you? Thank goodness you didn’t”, Rose responded: “Yeah so Chelsea came in for the three of us,(Michael) Woods and (Tom) Taiwo were the other two.”
Spurs Web Opinion
It is quite difficult to imagine Rose in a Chelsea shirt. The left-back was a pivotal piece of the brilliant Spurs side under Pochettino and it is quite strange to think that he could have actually been on the other side in the battle of the bridge.
