‘Please, Tottenham’ – Some Spurs fans are nervous ahead of the Watford clash

Tottenham Hotspur desperately need three points when they take on Watford at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium later this afternoon.

There have been a lot of column inches dedicated to Spurs’ poor form recently with the board, the manager and the players, all coming under criticism over the last few weeks.

Mauricio Pochettino was calm and measured in the pre-match press conference and backed the side to get back to winning ways (Football.London).

Spurs couldn’t have handpicked an easier fixture if they wanted as the Hornets are rooted to the bottom of the table and are still winless in the league. The visitors will also be without four first team players in Sebastian Prödl, Troy Deeney, Isaac Success, and former Spurs midfielder Étienne Capoue for the game (Watfordfc.com).

However, some Spurs fans on social media are getting extremely nervous as the match approaches as they couldn’t even contemplate the consequences of another loss today.

The fans at the ground are likely to be just as nervous today given the team’s poor recent form and so it is vital that we start well and get the crowd on our side. It will be very hard to recover if we go a goal down today as the atmosphere will turn hostile and the players will lose confidence.
