Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino has insisted that it was the right decision to take Harry Kane on the club’s end of season tour to Malaysia and Australia.
The striker scored in both matches to cap off what has been a fine season for the 21-year-old. However he now has the Under-21s European Championships to take care of.
Spurs fans are fearing that such a busy end of season could risk Kane getting burned out ahead of the next Premier League campaign.
Potation told the press: He said: “It has been a fantastic season for him and now he has scored three goals on this tour. He now goes to the Euros and it was important for him to keep his momentum.
“I think the results show that it is true.”
