Poch comments on whether Spurs will sign players in January

Tottenham Hotspur became the first Premier League club ever to not sign a single player in the summer transfer window this year.

However, despite not brining in any new faces, Spurs are now second in the league, in the last 16 of the Champions League, and the semi-final of the Carabao Cup.

It appears a settled squad has given Spurs an edge over some of their rivals who have taken the time to bed in new players or managers.

But, with the January transfer window coming up, will Tottenham sign any new players?

You can look at this from two ways. Either, Spurs didn’t sign in the summer, so are unlikely to sign in January. Or Spurs didn’t sign in the summer, so surely they will have to invest come the new year.

It remains to be seen what Pochettino and Daniel Levy do come 2019, but one thing that is certain is that this Spurs side doesn’t need a whole lot more to become a trophy winner.

Poch said (Football London): “I told you before, we’re always open but it’s going to be difficult – maybe not impossible but difficult, yes.”
