Poch confirms this key star will feature against Watford after early return

This will surely be music to Tottenham fans’ ears today, as Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that Heung Min Son will play a part in their Premier League fixture against Watford tomorrow.

Spurs will be looking to put back-to-back defeats against Chelsea and Crystal Palace behind them by scooping up all three points.

It is important for Spurs to both keep pace with Liverpool and City, as well as keeping a gap between themselves and the chasing pack below.

Heung Min Son has been away of late with his home nation of South Korea, playing in the Asia Cup.

Sonny was due to miss a couple more games, but a shock early exit from the tournament in a quarter-final loss to Qatar saw him and South Korea fly home early.

Spurs are without goal threats Harry Kane and Dele Alli through injury, so having Son back will be a dream come true for fans, Pochettino, and Son’s teammates.

Poch said (Football London): “Yes, Son come back and today was good in training. Maybe after the third game he played in between Dubai and Emirates he felt empty because he was so disappointed, but here he’s happy and today he had very good energy. We’re going to decide if he will play from the beginning or the bench but I am very optimistic because he showed very good energy in the training session.”
