Tottenham Hotspur are still the only Premier League team yet to make a new signing this season.

In fact, Spurs are the only top flight side ever not to sign a single new player in the summer transfer window.

Pochettino and Levy instead decided to retain a settled and experienced squad, while putting extra faith in the academy players.

A recent spell of injuries may have forced Tottenham into the market, but a Mousa Dembele sale to China remains their only dealing this season.

As deadline day ticks on, Spurs fans may be hoping for a dream signing out of nowhere, but there are no indications of any incomings.

However, the likes of Vincent Janssen and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou may still have time to secure exits from the club in the final hours.

Pochettino revealed that he needed to talk with his chief scout Steve Hitchen, but he expects some players to leave today.

Poch said (Football London): “No, I don’t know anything. I am going to talk now with my chief scout Steve Hitchen, I am going to ask for some news. I expect that maybe some player is going to leave but I do not expect that we are going to add to the squad. I am going to talk because I want some news, but not because I am expecting to sign a player.”
