Tottenham’s week looks like it’s about to go from bad to worse as they find themselves trailing 2-0 at the Amex Stadium at the end of the first half.
Spurs made a disastrous start to the game as they went 1-0 courtesy of another blunder by Hugo Lloris, who had to be stretchered off after injuring his arm while landing.
Pochettino’s men never recovered from that early set back as the home side were first to almost every loose ball. Despite the manager tweaking the formation multiple times in the half, Spurs never looked in control of the game.
Brighton deservedly got their second midway into the second half as the Spurs players’ head slummed even further. The lilywhites failed to fashion a single clear cut chance throughout the half.
Spurs fans were hoping the team would respond to the humiliation suffered in midweek at the hands of Bayern Munich but if anything the team has looked even poorer than they did in that game.
Some Spurs fans were in complete disbelief as to how poor the first-half display from the side was.
Someone has put a tremendous amount of juju on Spurs ??♂️

This is so, so bad.
Like, really bad.
Worrying.

I can’t believe how bad this is going.
Today, the team needed to show up after Tuesday’s result. Unfortunately, no one has.
What has happened to this team? Unrecognisable #coys

This is full banter-era Tim Sherwood Tottenham. We're even wearing the same away kit colours as that season. Utterly painful to see this group fall apart like this. #BRITOT

Shades of the dark days under Juande Ramos?

Poch has lost it. Sorry this is horrific. So simple to fix but he keeps playing this horrific formation.

Half time thoughts:
I want to die.

I didn’t really want to admit it but it seems we are an absolute shambles.

Spurs Web Opinion
On the back of the horrific showing in that half, it looks like the players’ confidence was completely shattered by the result against Bayern on Tuesday. Barring a miracle in the second half, it looks like Mauricio Pochettino’s future at the club could come under some serious scrutiny.
