Poch on Barca – ‘The mentality is going to be 200% to win’

Tottenham Hotspur set themselves up perfectly for a tough trip to Barcelona on Tuesday with a couple of Premier League wins this week.

After the bitterly disappointing loss in the North London derby, it was key to get themselves into a good run of results again before the pivotal fixture.

Tottenham won 3-1 at home to Southampton before picking up a 2-0 away win to Leicester last night.

Whatever happens in Spain, Spurs have secured third spot in the Prem for now and may even be part of a chasing pack for the title.

Spurs will likely need a win at the Camp Nou to qualify second out of their tough group, with Inter Milan also searching for that knockout spot.

Barca have already qualified top of the group, so there is a chance they may field a weakened team in order to concentrate on the League.

If Spurs don’t match Inter’s result, they are relegated to the Europa League.

Football London report Poch had this to say: “You never know. You never know in football until you play. It will be a massive game. It’s true they’ve qualified for the next stage but in the Champions League no one is going to give a present. We need to win and deserve to win. Of course the mentality is going to be 200 per cent to win because it’s a game that we must win. I think we are going to arrive in the best condition but we know very well that in front of us will be Barcelona, one of the best teams in Europe.”
