Poch on whether Spurs can win at Arsenal for the first time in over eight years

Mauricio Pochettino believes that Tottenham have the belief to beat any team at home or away.

Spurs have won just one of their last 25 away Premier League games against Arsenal (D10 L14), a 3-2 victory in November 2010 and will be looking to end the poor run of form at the Emirates.

Tottenham’s form away from home this season will give fans hope considering that Pochettino’s side have won seven of their eight Premier League away games so far this season, their best return on the road at this stage of a top-flight season since 1960-61.

The Spurs boss has focused on the significance of focusing on the right mentality going into the match to come away from the North London derby with all three points.

Victory for Tottenham would mean that they would be six points ahead of their near neighbours in the Premier League table.

Spurs fans will once again be looking to star striker Harry Kane, the striker has scored in six of his seven Premier League appearances against Arsenal.

Pochettino told Football.London when asked about if he believes his players can end the poor record: “Yes I think the mentality so far is so good. I think now it is about delivering the job.

“We have the belief which is most important in football. The belief and faith that you can beat any team away from home or at home and I think today the squad have that belief and that is the most important. Then the performance can be good or not so good. Then you have some luck or not in different games, but with the right mentality all is possible.”
