Poch reveals that this Tottenham star could still be weeks away from return

Tottenham Hotspur have been without star striking duo Harry Kane and Dele Alli for around a month now, but you wouldn’t know it from their results.

Spurs haven’t dropped a single Premier League point in that time, and even managed to beat Borussia Dortmund, the German League leaders, 3-0 in the Champions League.

Kane picked up yet another ankle injury back in January against Man United, while Dele Alli overstretched and pulled up with a hamstring problem in the very next game.

Both were given expected return dates of early March, with Harry looking like he will make an early comeback, perhaps against Burnley this weekend.

However, Pochettino has revealed that Alli is some way behind his England teammate in terms of recovery.

The Spurs manager suggested that while Kane may feature at the weekend, Dele could be out for as long as another two weeks or so.

Fingers crossed it isn’t that long.

Poch said (Football London): “He’s good. We’re happy. This muscle injury is different. He’s in the last part of his recovery. Difficult to know, maybe one week, 10 days, two weeks. In the last period, a key part of his recovery. We’ll see because we’re going to assess him day by day.”
