Poch reveals the entire team will now have a surprisingly long break from training

It has been a long hard winter for Tottenham Hotspur, with fixture congestion and vast injuries to the first team squad.

Two or three fixtures a week across four competitions is a hard thing to keep up, especially if you want to win every game.

However, the hardest part may now finally be over, as Spurs look ahead to an eight day break until they face Leicester in the Prem.

This will give them time to rest, rejuvenate, and get their injured stars back to somewhere near first team fitness.

Currently, Dele Alli, Harry Kane, and Ben Davies are all out injured, and eight days rest could do Tottenham the world of good in progressing with their rehabilitation.

Pochettino has now revealed in his post match press conference that he will give the entire squad two full days off from training.

This comes after Spurs went second in the league today with a win over Newcastle.

Poch was asked if Son would receive a break, he said (Football London): “Yes, now he’s going to have two days off, but all of the squad, not only him.”
