Poch reveals what is important to Harry Kane

Tottenham Hotspur grabbed all three points against Cardiff yesterday afternoon, in what has been a testing week for the club.

No sooner had Spurs thrust themselves into the title race, they fell to a shock Wolves defeat at home.

Tottenham led the fixture 1-0 at half time, but conceded three in fifteen minutes in the second 45 to see their title charge move so much further away.

However, 2019 is a new year, and the Lilywhites got it off to the perfect start with a 3-0 win over Cardiff, thanks to goals from Harry Kane, Christian Eriksen, and Heung Min Son.

It was a particularly momentous day for Tottenham’s main man Harry Kane, as he had never scored against Cardiff before.

This may seem like a rather insignificant stat, but this latest Kane goal meant that he has now scored against every single Premier League team he has played against.

Pochettino praised the striker’s individual records, but made it clear the team always came first.

Poch said (Football London): “Yes, I think it’s important, first of all because he provided the team with the opportunity to get the three points. Then his individuals goals, it’s important for him to score and score against a team that before he hadn’t.”
