A number of Tottenham Hotspur have been sent into overdrive this afternoon after a photograph emerged of Mauricio Pochettino wearing a Spurs shirt.
Pochettino was sacked as Tottenham boss back in November 2019 after enduring a dismal start to the new campaign.
The Argentine had led the Lilywhites to their first Champions League Final just months before but even that was not enough to save his job.
Poch had been in charge of Spurs for five-and-a-half years, taking them from Europa League strugglers to Champions League regulars.
However, despite it being seven months after the former Spurs man was sacked, Pochettino has been spotted in the club merch this week.
His son, Maurizio Pochettino, took to Instagram to reveal his new Tottenham contract today, with the photograph featuring father Mauricio in a Spurs top.
This came after Maurizio’s previous contract was set to expire at the end of this month.
Here’s how some Spurs fans reacted on Twitter to the nostalgic image:
I have no doubt whatsoever that Poch will be back before too long. The love he has for the club is everything.
