Pochettino aims for Spurs to be a ‘realistic contender’ in the title race

Tottenham Hotspur have won the last three Premier League games, and now find themselves with an outside chance at the Prem trophy.

In the past two weeks, both Man City and Liverpool have dropped points in the League, while Spurs boast a flawless record of late.

Liverpool drew back to back games against Leicester and West Ham, while Man City lost against Newcastle.

Spurs recorded three consecutive wins against Fulham, Watford, and Newcastle, although they left it well past the 80th minute to score the winner in each affair.

Tottenham take on Leicester City this weekend, as they look to close the gap even further.Man City take on Chelsea, and Liverpool have Bournemouth to contend with.

Spurs are currently just five points off the League leaders, and with plenty of games left to play, as well as ties against Liverpool and City, the title could be a realistic aim for the Lilywhites.

Pochettino said (Football London): “I think the competition is too tough, it’s so difficult. They are at the top and can win the Premier League. They are doing a fantastic job ad have a real quality and are building to win. Man City are there at the top and made more than Liverpool and then we are there. Chelsea and United and Arsenal, that is the table.

“We are there in third. Sunday will be key to win the three points will be tough They are a good team and for us it is key to win the three points to be involved until the end.

“That’s our objective and be realistic contender and have the possibility in the last five game to be there and make it possible.”
