Pochettino was asked if he will be at Spurs next season – this was his response

Tottenham Hotspur managed to put all managerial rumours behind them and romped to a 6-2 victory in the Premier League last night at Goodison Park.

The Lilywhites went behind to Everton early on, but came back to win the tie in emphatic fashion.

Harry Kane and Heung Min Son both grabbed braces, while Eriksen and Alli added strikes of their own to the tally.

This was the perfect way for Tottenham to ring in Christmas, as most of the talk this week surrounding the club has been pretty negative.

Ever since Jose Mourinho was sacked as manager of Man United, Pochettino has been heavily linked to the permanent position (Telegraph).

Hopefully some impressive Tottenham form, as well as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer being named as interim United boss will be enough to dampen rumours.

In his post match press conference, Pochettino was directly asked by one journalist whether he would still be at Tottenham next season.

Spurs’ Simon Felstein stepped in so say (Football London): “Sorry, we’ve done this already. We’re not going over this again. We’ve done it on Tuesday.”

However, Pochettino did add this: “I think it’s fantastic to win the game and the fans are happy to start the Christmas period that way. They deserve everything.

“There’s a lot of rumour. I don’t want this guy (Simon) to become upset. We need to be focused on our job and try do our best to be successful.”
