Pochettino asked whether Tottenham will appeal Heung Min Son’s red card

Mauricio Pochettino was asked whether Spurs will appeal Heung Min Son’s red card against Everton today in his post-match press conference.

This comes after the South Korean forward was given a straight red for a challenge on Adre Gomes, which then led to a horror injury for the Everton man.

The sending off seemed to be the last thing on Son’s mind as he was escorted down the tunnel, with the player in tears, shaking, and inconsolable with remorse.

Dele Alli later revealed that Son was still crying in the dressing room and unable to even lift his head up after the role he played in the event.

Son was sent off towards the end of last season for a shove against a Bournemouth player, for which he served a three-match ban.

It remains to be seen how many the forward will be handed this time around and whether Spurs will appeal the decision.

Poch was asked about the latter (Football London): “I don’t know what will happen. The club will see if it’s possible or not. We cannot change what can happen after.”
