Tottenham Hotspur were the only club this season not to sign any new players in the summer transfer window, and the only club in Premier League history to do this as a matter of fact.

Fans may have been hoping for some January activity to make up for the lack of summer signings, but so far, Spurs have yet to dip their toes into the market.

The only dealing so far this month saw Mousa Dembele swap North London for China.

Spurs are currently without two of their top goal scoring threats Harry Kane and Dele Alli, as both are set to be out injured until early March.

Pochettino claims he was confident of possibly bringing in a new signing a few days ago, but he has now lost all optimism.

It looks as if Tottenham will have to make do with what they have for the remainder of their Premier League and Champions League campaigns.

Poch said (Football London): “A few days ago I was very optimistic about some options to sign – realistic options to sign – but today no, I’m not optimistic.”

  1. Many thanks to Levi. We are still in the dumps this week. If we lose today well that will be a disaster and why?
Because we have Scrooge for our chairman.

  2. I have always blamed levy for this but i am hearing a lot of reports that its poch who likes a small squad and will not add to it until summer. Levy is waiting for the ok from poch to bid for tielmans, boden etc but poch is not interested.Kane will come back early from injury and play every game until he breaks down injured again.Just get a decent goal scorer thats all we need.

  3. Pochettino has the final say on all players being bought but his record is not great. He prefers to bring youngsters through. Our scouting system is just wasting its time. That why Mr Mitchell left.
