Pochettino discusses his goalkeeper choices for Barca clash

Tottenham Hotspur have been without first team goalkeeper and captain Hugo Lloris for a number of weeks now, after the shot stopper picked up an injury while appearing for Spurs against Manchester United.

Deputising goalie Michel Vorm then stepped in, but a string of poor performances, followed by an injury have also forced him out of the team.

Step up third-choice keeper Paulo Gazzaniga, and what a start to his Spurs career it has been. In four games the Argentinian has picked up three man of the match awards, coming second in the vote for the fourth.

After such fine displays over the past few weeks, he looked certain to be given the nod for the Barcelona game in the Champions League on Wednesday, but Pochettino has thrown a slight spanner in the works.

It now looks as if Hugo Lloris has a chance of recovering in time for the European tie, and reclaiming his number one spot, despite not playing a game in some time.

When asked if Gazzaniga would start in goal, HITC report Poch said: “I don’t know, we have to see how Hugo is.”
