Pochettino does not seem overjoyed at Ryan Sessegnon’s England call-up

Tottenham Hotspur and Mauricio Pochettino were finally able to give Ryan Sessegnon some minutes this past week, his very first in a Lilywhites shirt.

The winger first appeared against Everton at Goodison to help defend the point at the death, but he was only handed around a minute by his manager.

Sessegnon was given far more of a chance to impress against a ten-man Red Star Belgrade on Wednesday night, with the score already at 3-0 when he came on.

The teenager managed to cause problems on the left-wing, even racking up his first assist for the club after picking out Eriksen in the box with an accurate cross.

Pochettino is never one to rush his players into the starting XI, especially after a recent injury, but things may be taken out of his hands in terms of Sessegnon.

The youngster has now been called up to the England U21 side for the upcoming international fixtures, something that Poch didn’t seem too happy about.
