Pochettino high on Bayern’s wishlist to replace Heynckes

According to talkSPORT we could reportedly face a fight to keep manager Mauricio Pochettino this summer, with German giants Bayern Munich set to try and lure him to Germany.

According to reports in Germany from newspaper Bild, Pochettinho is among Bayern’s top targets to replace current incumbent the veteran Jupp Heynckes.

Heynckes was appointed on a short-term basis in October following the sacking of former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti.

The article adds that the 72-year-old German has announced he will retire at the end of the season, with the Bavarian club set to claim their sixth straight Bundesliga title.

And it adds that Pochettino is supposedly high on Bayern’s list of candidates to take over in the Allianz Arena hotseat, with Thomas Tuchel, the manager of fierce rivals Borussia Dortmund, also linked.

Mauricio will be time and time again be linked with these top jobs, it’s a testament to the work he’s done at Spurs. I can’t personally see him leaving just yet. Will we get 10/15 years out of Poch or will his head eventually be turned?
