Pochettino hints how long he will be at Tottenham

Tottenham Hotspur failed to bring in any new players in the summer, but one piece of important business Daniel Levy did conduct came in the form of a new contract for his manager.

Mauricio Pochettino signed a new five year deal, despite being linked with the then-vacant Real Madrid job.

Real eventually hired Julen Lopetegui as their head coach, but he was fired after just a handful of games.

Once again Pochettino was linked, but once again the Argentine stayed, with Real having to look elsewhere.

In the past three seasons, Pochettino has led Spurs to three consecutive top three positions in the Premier League, and therefore three consecutive seasons of Champions League football.

Tottenham even beat the likes of Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid last season.

The one thing Poch hasn’t added to his Tottenham CV is a piece of silverware, but if his latest comments are anything to go by, there is plenty of time for that.

Mundo Deportivo reported Poch said: “I don’t look too much into the future. In football, everything is very dynamic but the important thing is we are carrying out an exciting project at Tottenham.

“There are things that link me with their future and I want to be there for a long time.”
