Pochettino hints that this man will start up front on Sunday

Tottenham Hotspur have been left with very few options in terms of attacking players for the next few weeks.

It has been well documented that Harry Kane’s injury may keep him out until early March, after taking a knock on the ankle against Man United.

Heung Min Son looks as if he could lead South Korea deep into the Asia Cup, so he will likely be unavailable for a good few weeks.

Lucas Moura is also still undergoing rehabilitation for an injury of his own, and is unavailable for at least the Fulham game on Sunday.

Therefore, Pochettino is left with only Fernando Llorente and the academy players as strike options for the Premier League London derby.

The Argentine manager has hinted that Llorente may be handed a rare start come the weekend, fresh off his recent hattrick in the FA Cup against Tranmere.

However, Poch was adamant that he has not yet chosen his starting XI.

He said (Football London): “I think it’s normal that we are thinking to give him the possibility to start on Sunday. Of course it’s in my mind. I’ve still not decided the starting XI, but it’s one of the possibilities that we have in mind.”
