Pochettino includes this outcast in his Premier League squad

Tottenham Hotspur have been short on attacking options in recent weeks, with Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Heung Min Son, and Lucas Moura all unavailable at one point.

This left Pochettino with only Fernando Llorente up front, and it took time for the Spanish striker to adjust to increase game time and pressure.

However, Spurs did have another ready made replacement waiting in the wings in the form of Vincent Janssen.

The Dutch striker had been out until January with a foot injury, but had since returned and started playing minutes for the under 23 side, scoring goals and racking up assists too.

Pochettino chose to ignore the Janssen option, probably with the mind of selling him in the January transfer window.

A deal never happened, and the exits of Mousa Dembele and Georges-Kevin Nkoudou freed up a spot in Poch’s Premier League squad.

The Standard now report that Poch has informed Janssen that he will be included in the new squad, despite not playing since August 2017.
